Pterional craniotomy-a highly flexible skull base approach that affords excellent exposure of the anterior cranial fossa, the circle of Willis, and the interpeduncular region. @AaronCohenGadol summarizes an efficient execution of this route & its expansion https://t.co/NoRlEe5cqx

Olfactory groove meningiomas can be resected via a bifrontal craniotomy. I prefer a pterional craniotomy, no matter how large the olfactory groove meningioma. This approach is less invasive & allows early identification of the optic nerve & carotid artery

The 3D print of a skull with a craniotomy recovered in excavations on Rat Island in Gosport. Look out for fascinating developments and coverage in 2020 having already featured in @CurrentArchaeo and #diggingforbritain. #opnightingale

The majority of craniopharyngiomas have a large suprasellar component with cystic expansion displacing or entering the third ventricle. Shown here is the typical appearance of a retrochiasmatic craniopharyngioma.

L’Amore sta assiso sul cranio dell’Umanità e da quel trono profano, con riso sfrontato, soffia gaio delle bolle rotonde che si innalzano nell’aria, quasi a raggiungere i mondi al fondo dell’etere…
