Was looking forward to Satoshi Yamaguchi's solo (direction/storyboard/designs/animation) Touhou Cannonball opening and it didn't disappoint! He's a big fan of the franchise with self-published books of his own and he clearly gave his all. The dense 2DFX stood out since the teaser

One of my first professional 2D animation tasks was this concept for a rune cannon from a cancelled project. I've since learned a ton, and there's a bunch I would fix, but I still like it :) 100% done in Photoshop (because I'm a dinosaur)
