The release of the new movie has finally motivated me to start reading God Emperor of Dune.

The book is only slightly undermined by this being how I see Leto II in my mind.

So I watched Dune. Rarely have I been so captivated by a new world. World building! I look forward to seeing how other story elements are developed in future installments.

I'm learning a new painting technique and decided to channel my new fascination into my study.

Baron Harkonnen in the was brilliant. I wanted to pay a tribute to him.

"I would not harm them and I should not, but Arrakis is Arrakis and the desert takes the weak.

My desert.
My Arrakis.
My Dune."

I really liked/enjoyed It was pretty sick to hear that Baron Harkonnen's design was sort of inspired by based Marlon Brando (e.g. Col. Kurtz). The scene where he was like a balloon stuck on a ceiling was just *chef's kiss*.
