Finished Monogatari and it's truly one of the anime that taught me life lessons as much as gintama. It probably took me the same time as gintama to finish it and now my year long journey of it has ended.

So...it should be fine for me to think back on it every so often.

What makes Utsuro a fantastic antagonist is that he’s the culmination of the deterministic world view that is so central in Gintama. Utsuro never asked for the power of immortality but because of fear and jealousy he was persecuted by humanity for centuries.
