The Angle X turn is always the hardest to get right, so I always recommend redlining over yer first pass and maybe even usin' a liquify tool in an art program to adjust the model image to help out yer eye.

The Photoshop liquify tool, dodge/burn tool and copying pieces of imagery from other parts of the piece to modify (such as the golden eyes from flowers) were all employed to “rebuild” the face, which bears almost no resemblance to the photo in the init image.

Outer lining (Optional)

At this point you can group all your layers, make a duplicate and merge the second group so that you have a back up.

With the merged layer you can liquify any mistakes and add an optional outline to make your emote more visible when small.
