15 years ago today, the Red Puffles were adoptable by everyone on Club Penguin. Captain Rockhopper brought them back from Rockhopper Island, where he also found his Puffle Friend, Yarr. Yarr also taught all the Red Puffles how to surf.

It's canon that the colors are paint. Colors weren't introduced until PC3, which launched on 3/31/05.

Since Rockhopper was red when he left on 3/8/05, it means colors debuted sometime before/around early March 2005
