In the manga and the 1997 anime, Guts takes a crossbow bolt to the hand. In both versions Adon remarks that Guts won't be able to wield his sword so easily with a messed up left hand. In both versions Guts shrugs it off and says things are getting interesting

Ironically re canon, "poppet valve" has been used. Given what the mechanism looks like in real life, if a euphemism, it's probably for a phallus.

Ya know, I may criticize Yugioh GX in the last few months, but I really do love the show. What can I say? I find it to be a guilty pleasure and it still had some fun ideas that I myself really enjoyed.

Hell, Yuki Judai is still my favorite Yugioh Protag, I dunno...
