@SO0u0o For example like Miruko I've seen people say she's black (which is perfectly fine imo if they wanna see her as that) but in reality I'm fairly certain she's just a gyaru type character, gyaru being a subtype of person in Japanese culture who has tanned skin and other things

Characters from a hot region can have darker characters like the pics below and not just tanned Caucasians like from the upper pics. Heck, even Black people were living in Europe as minorities.
There were also Black eunuchs in Ottoman Empire.
