I’m certainly not going to complain about Bernie Wrightson getting to draw demons and magicians and supernatural guns in the Marvel Universe… but what a silly little story this was.
Before WRIGHTSON... GHASTLY!
The incredibly inspiring art of GRAHAM INGELS!!

@scottEmovienerd Rick Scott looks like an insane zombie in a Bernie Wrightson comic.
5. I'd be remiss if I didn't mention Bernie Wrightson, a master of the craft. The attention to detail, the contrast of heavy shadows and delicate lines, the juxtaposition of monstrosities being drawn beautifully. His is a work I continue to study and learn from.

Actual picture of me and my crew heading out for the weekend...Bernie Wrightson delivers another glorious cover for CHAMBER OF DARKNESS #8 (Marvel, 1970)!
Bernie Wrightson does the cover honors for CHAMBER OF DARKNESS #7 (Marvel, 1970)!!
Awesome Bernie Wrightson cover for DC's SECRETS OF HAUNTED HOUSE (Jan. 1982)! Check out the reflection of the jack-o'-lantern head on the ground -- nice touch!
Those Bernie Wrightson illustrations were incredible. I treasured that book and showed it off to others every chance I got, for obvious reasons.
With the death of Meat Loaf (Michael Lee Aday), it's impossible to overstate how much of his success was due to these iconic album covers by comic artists Richard Corben and Bernie Wrightson, respectively.
While everyone's quite rightly posting Richard Corben's iconic cover for Bat Out Of Hell today, let's not forget Berni Wrightson did an equally wonderful cover for #RIPMeatLoaf's follow up album.
