Her machinations lead to a long period of civil war in Japan known as the Genpei War. Because of this its known as one of the Three Great Yokai.

Since the Yokai Watch anime has gone back to "normal" for a while now I would love if a new movie involved Kat Kraydel and/or the "Rampaging" Enma tribe yokai. The shonen anime kid in me would burst out of my chest.

Felish's core design is based on that of a Nekomata or Bakeneko yokai.
So I just mixed the two together!

@Vela_Aurelia64 Another common one is a Tsukumogami. Which is a tool that has aged and gained a spirit. Legend says that if you mistreat your belongings, they will return as yokai. Practices like thanking an item for its usefulness before properly discarding are still used

The kitsune are also incredibly well-designed.
Umber wanted to capture the beautiful Chiruky but she was surprised by the speed of the Yokai.
She can only struggle while Chiruky wraps her in her threads. 🕸️
