Same! Mimics and slimes. I think I saw a ooze mimic somewhere that becomes what it devours by not digesting the things it would need to appear as that thing. So it could be a person… made me think of the bear creature in Annihilation

-a gland or other internal function causes their flatulence to have pleasant fragrances; like flowers, fruits, citrus, spices, etc which can depend a bit randomly on an individual and diet
