This cover to Iron Man(by Marie Severin & Bill Everett) led me to the writer of the issue, Mimi Gold who took over after Flo Steinberg left, Mimi would go on to write and move into coloring comics, and may've inspire the character Screaming Mimi/Songbird aka Melissa Gold.
Twin Peaks fans recognize this fake gig poster for Julee Cruise from artist Jeffrey Everett (Rockets are Red). A great piece for fans, available right here: https://t.co/M76qOIUrqR
Tales to Astonish (Dec.-1966) #86
The Sub-Mariner is caught up in "The Wrath of Warlord Krang!" Script Stan Lee, Penciler Jerry Grandenetti, Inker Bill Everett: The Krang plot is wearing thin; especially with the absence of Colan’s graceful pencils. 3/5
This was SUCH a fun read — it’s great to see Everett return to his classic creation at the height of his storytelling powers, making some interesting choices and showing off some deeply cool techniques that hold up half a century down the line. Whatta legend.
Oddly enough, we end on a page that I definitely don’t think was inked by Everett. Deadline issues? Who’s to say? The script sticks the landing, though, as Namor privately acknowledges the landlubbers’ moxie. A solid ending to a highly enjoyable comic book.
Lookit that, it’s November 1972’s SUB-MARINER #55, written and drawn by Namor creator and comics legend Bill Everett! I grabbed a digital copy after seeing @DarrellEpp describe it as Everett’s masterpiece, and it’s pretty wall-to-wall excellent. A thread:

@KottkrigArt Luc is human jerky. Smells a lil dusty, kinda formeldahidey. And then there's Leverett, who does his best to ensure he and his husband (not Luc) have the freshest pieces they can get their hands on. Always fun!
