I'd probably say the CAPCOM games of the mid to late 90s. Particularly Mega Man 8, Mega Man Legends, Street Fighter Alpha and Rival School. The dynamic poses, exaggerated proportions, bold colors, that's what I still love about thier art from back then. Nothing but inspiration.

A couple of UltimateSkar alts, I tried to exaggerate his eyebrows with the later versions. His bulky frame tells you that he can kick a**, whereas his angry expression and exaggerated eyebrows tells you that he's ready to do just that.

One thing I find most useful is to find the most exaggerated poses you can. For me I rewatched cybersix (hence why I was thinking about it yesterday) and screencapped a bunch. It’s easier to learn line of action with exaggerated poses.
