If you look really, really closely at his piece, the headband/collar is tinted very slightly differently from the rest of the white on her, implying it's a different material. It might be her only actual piece of clothing, with the rest being fur.

as a general rule of thumb for coloring blood: keep things darker, even as far as like, near brownish. fully saturated reds with blood never work well, even on white fur.
if you're looking for a ref of bloody faputa, there's this one that made, if it helps
