The character designs in went through multiple iterations. Their world is covered by a permanent layer of clouds, making light a precious resource. I tried to make the designs reflect this.

Early on we had a tree in the middle of a room that acted as the doorway. We shifted to a door on one wall with the dais to the opposite end over time, with a large skull embedded into the rock face as a focal point. The skull and stalagmites went through a lot of iterations.
