Actually, I figured something out. On the left is the canon image of Blaze and on the right is my OC Glaze.
The eye size looks similar, but I think I need to shrink the muzzle size (white section). That way the eyes will be lower and look smaller.

This keeps the color scheme the same but changes up the muzzle (real teeth, longer), tail and ear length (longer), shorter legs, individual toes, pupils, and gives him a purple whiskers and a nice dorsal mane. If I changed the colors, things would get a little unrecognizable
