2019 has been a year of attempting new things and relearning what I'd forgotten during the 4yrs I was too ill to draw. My fav pieces are the ones with the small changes that only I will notice but that I feel put me a step above my SCAD self, despite the long "break" 😏

though real talk i think my biggest jump was how I learned to draw humans / humanish characters. I had to relearn pretty much everything about art in 2013, and undergo a weeb phase I missed during my teenage years.

God this was fun & painful 2 set up. Nice to see my art this way just so I can see the progress I've made. 2015 was a bit rough & 2016 I barely drew, but I've been relearning things like coloring and anatomy as well as how to have confidence in my work

Most of my art is from 1/2 way into the year & mostly commissions. I'd like 2 think I've grown as both an artist & a person.

Relearning everything after taking such a long break did make things frustrating, but I feel I've slowly learned how to love my art again.
