Ah, this makes sense. So in SD Gundam G Generation Cross Rays, you don't get enough of a good look at them with all the particle effects and cropped cut-ins, but all the cockpits are 3D modeled and exported as really high res sprites. A seated shadow is baked in too.

Heh, I actually had to do some planning for that!

Normally, Yoshi's features would be way bigger than Grandpa's, so I tried to shrivel everything in an acceptable way before drawing the hair.
Sagging cheek also solves the lack of the white stripe in his sprites.
