Circe and the Companions of Ulysses, PARMIGIANINO, 1527, located at the Uffizi Gallery, Florence. 🎨 📸 🖌️ 🖋️
In this episode from the Odyssey, Circe offers Odysseus's men a magic potion that will turn them into beasts, yet leave them helplessly aware of their changed state.
@SteelDalek1 @HomeInDouai @fudgecrumpet Along with this nobhead robot from Ulysses 31. I hated him as a kid.

I’ve been poking at this guy’s design for a while! His name is Ulysses and he’s a Nephilim (fallen angel), works as a medical examiner. He used to be an angel of mercy, so he tries to make sure everyone is shown compassion & mercy — regardless of how they died. #originalcharacter
...I don't have much to say other than his name is Ulysses, he's a water spirit, manlet and pretty much just gave me an excuse to draw glass and glowing bubbles.

For 16 June, setting of Joyce's ULYSSES, blog on James Barry's darker Irish use of the Odyssey to comment on politics & his tense relationship with the establishment-embracing Edmund Burke, https://t.co/m0KypHU0Ua
his name is ulysses, he’s a vampire, and he’s so lonely in this big old castle....all by himself..... oh no...
The modern Ulysses can’t be seduced by Sirens anymore… LA VIE PARISIENNE, June 1927. I think the art is by Chéri Hérouard.
