For me personally, my raccoon self was used to be representative of my actual body physically, but lately it’s been shifting toward what my body is mentally. I feel I should actually be like raccoon size sometimes with raccoon proportions. I’m in the process of a major redesign.

Those who remember the MG AU probably saw that Hamuko got a redesign. This time I really wanted the plague doctor theme to show; +the feather on her hat is from a raven as they symbolize death! I also tried to have the mask be shaped like a raven head but that semi-worked lol

I think the best way to go about this would be to compare the former style with more recent 2D illustrations by the same artist. Personally I feel it's more of a gradual refinement of the same style, rather than a deliberate redesign.

I wanted to make her outfit less sexualized and more streamlined, combined with a more sporty look. I felt she would be the most physically strong of Team RWBY, given how much she uses her fists.

Decided to take a crack at Bastiodon for a little redesign. I really liked the ceratopsian aspect of Shieldon, and must say I was very disappointed when my little man evolved. I decided to retain elements of its base form over its architecture.
