ความพยายามในการjc leyendeckerรอบที่สองร้อยล้าน : mission failed
Had the opportunity to see the JC Leyendecker exhibit at the Reynolda House today. Absolutely jaw dropping 🙀
@kloysius I saw this Leyendecker piece in person last week and was blown away by how the stylized anatomy looks so on-par for modern western comic art
"The Dark Prince Charming"... Bruce's looking like Leyendecker's dream boy, Joker in louboutins and Harls in this gorgeous oufit... Enrico Marini is genius 😭
I want to draw these designs so bad, they are as good as the story
Leyendecker master copy but changed to look like Percy for fun. Some other doodles also.
He captured the masculine figure and pairs it perfectly with fashion. There’s only one other artist who manages this as well as Gruau if not better and that’s Leyendecker (a topic for discussion another time).
But what makes these amazing is the sheer sexuality and nudity.
The Saturday Evening Post 👶
#covers #illustration by Joseph Christian Leyendecker (1874 - 1951)
I saw someone mention Leyendecker today so it's time to once again reflect on how dude was otherworldly brilliant.
Hey you know what's hard??
If you said "painting a silk jacket while trying to replicate the style of J.C. Leyendecker", you're absolutely right
Does it float your boat? The Saturday Evening Post, 6 August 1932. Art by J C Leyendecker. #rowing

@SAStudioADHD This is an interesting variant of the #artshare, thanks!
This piece below is my experiment in combining cartoony elements with J. C. Leyendecker's style and colours. Added a graphical element a la Rockwell there as well!
