Here's another one. Samael is a character I invented in 2013. I included an old pic from that time for posterity, but I redesigned him a couple of years ago. The redesign was a little too sleek so I consider the newer "red" version to be the best representation.

There's such a big divide in the community regarding classic Sonic and Modern Sonic designs, I genuinely feel that this was the design that got the best of both worlds. Sleek like the true modern, but still rounded and "roll ready" like the classic.

like with rodimus' design in mtmte issue 1, i get the impression that nick roche was trying to establish a kind of continuity with his old pagani body, keeping the sleekness and general shapes

but in interpreting the design to his style, alex milne made him a lot beefier
