These days 3DCG layout has become standardized as a tool given to animators to more quickly establish the needed perspective. On one hand, this eases burden on the staff, but on the other, it makes animators capable of drawing *unassisted* strong background layouts a dying breed

BERSERK - 2012 (USA, Japan) A very good job of the animators on the restoration of the rough anime series of 1997. Even if you watched the first season, I advise you to watch this work that is pleasant to look at anyway.
