changed my mind again now im home - the blue is basically the colour i like using when drawing most often? so the colour in the hat that i Wanted is the one on the left and the one on the right is close to the one i actually got. i.e. more true to the colours i use now slkdfjd

@Aiharararara Black overlay doesnt just make it darker like multiply, it also increases the saturation. Same for White, it reduces saturation
This is a quick way to just "feel" something out. You can also do this with colours to be like "I need it more...blue" or something.
