Very imaginative as a kid, and my dad used to draw as well. He went more into engineering based jobs, so was happy for me to go the more artistic route.

Children have deep, rich, imaginative interior lives and really great kid's literature reflects this. I love how books written for them acknowledge how difficult the world can be but do not give in to despair but offer the reader hope.
