Was just concepting some ideas for an Alien planet vegetation. The idea with these mushrooms is at night they would glow and attract local insects. Maybe trap them with some icky gooooop 🤔👍

I see the ‘are centaurs insects’ debate. I see ‘mantises are the closest thing to a centaur’.

I raise: Mantis Centaurs.

A beautiful commission of Virara and the morpho, made by !

I love this art so much, I can't say thank you enough times. XD

Though she has devoted her life to her Master's martial art, Virara is fascinated by insects, and on some level finds beauty in all of them.

I've had the idea of changelings that resemble real-world insects in mind for a while, but I finally got around to using them in one of the episodes of This is Tarsus and Tibia, the changeling ambassadors!

Green bottle fly, Lucilia spec. The green fly, almost everyone knows it. Their larvae serve as bait for anglers, as wound cleaners for medicine and as rich food for birds.

Gonna get into doing more studies between my bigger pieces. Of course since I'm obsessed with doing studies of animals, expect a lot of birds, lizards and insects 😅

The Clathrus Ruber trapper. They can place these mushrooms as volva, or fully grown to ward off predators with its stench. Oh, and to lure insects to eat.

They regrow their hands quite easily.
