did the SSS map for Shion's face. I just used the Base Map and figured out what color I wanted to multiply it with to get it's color in shadow. obviously, I can't just pick one color so I based off the shaded color with the darker parts of the texture.

@ddoyouart way I learned it is to shade in greyscale, put the flats on a multiply layer, and use an overlay layer to add vibrancy. I don't really use it but it did result in this when I tried it
@codetrillogy This was my first time trying to mimic the more modern style . I know it took some airbrushing and multiplying. think I did multi first before airbrushing
Fun little tip that my sister showed me:
Make your sketch a dark but relatively saturated version of the color you’re using (For me I normally use red, but sometimes purple or a somewhat deep orange) and then put the sketch as a multiply layer and color underneath it
