Just a personal preference, but I miss the old fantasy art style that was prevalent in the 80s/90s, had more texture and was more subdued, less exaggerated with its color and character proportions.

We don't know the purpose of the dragon balls being used yet. However it will probably be to teleport Bardock back to Planet Vegeta, after he defeats Gas. Which is a homage to the porunga wish from Namek saga, AND a Broly movie reference, as DBs are used to save people as such.
