This week's project is all about Amaterasu, in all her wolf-y sunny goodness.

I hope you guys like it!

Figuring out the fluff was the easiest part of the whole thing, because it happened without me even planning for it.

This week's project was another exercise in values based on Marco Bucci's advice.

The subject for said exercise was Amaterasu, from the game Okami.

So "Ammycore" isnt a thing. Google tried to give me "Abbycore" and then nothing. So I then looked up "Jadecore" expecting a lot of green and it was just depressing??? Jadecore fans are you okay?

Anyway I then tried Amaterasucore because that's what Ammy's short for lol. https://t.co/3i1k2Zcxym

And it’s because of that, what it stands as Art, for what it’s part in gaming history, and for its impact on gaming culture,
Okami Amaterasu should be in and I hope she’s already been chosen.
(Art by one of my best friends, )

Speaking of the Konohana tree, there is it’s spirit, Sakuya.

She is the one who brings Amaterasu to life and is a wise, caring spirit of Nippon. Her tree extends to all over Nippon to protect others and keep the land alive

Ok just to be clear, this is real folklore. Amaterasu, susanowo and tsukuyomi (photos order) are siblings. Amaterasu is the woman. Maya has both Amaterasu and Susanowo. Amaterasu (sun godess) is married with her brother Tsukuyomi (moon god)

Tsukuyomi goes along with susanowo being her sister and with amaterasu whit who is married in the japanese folklore, in Dracula, Maya plays the reincarnation of her beloved, aladdin with genie and Claudia(? Not sure of the name yet but she saves Maya's character i think

A mashup that spawned from my mind one night. After the events of Persona 5, Yuskue somehow became Amaterasu's avatar. I liked how this came out though.

I've been playing okami and decided to doodle what I thought Amaterasu would look like. I drew a lot of inspiration from sakuya and the idea that she'd wear robes similar to the flowers she sprouts when running/general nature colors.

Just a quick thing really.

Mermaid Amaterasu

Possibly my favorite and the best ps2 I played so far (tied with shadow of the colossus). I wanted to turn her into a sea lion but aí kept her wolf features and replicated the Okami art which I love ❤️
