@cyelatm I have no idea if my art is surreal or not?? I always kinda imagined it as like, grounded surreal, where our world shifted and morphs in strange ways. Maybe witches, maybe fish, maybe gods that love dance, maybe a gala on the moon
Anyway, Kimi wa Houkago Insomnia is really good and I'm recommending it, especially if you like a grounded slice of life with very humane characters.

So while I've been recovering in bed, I tried playing around with some photo editing tools to try and make myself look more grounded in the human world by messing with lights, shadows, grain, etc. Don't know if it worked or not.
One really good way to make your fictional species feel grounded and real in the worlds you create is to sketch out what they would look like from individual to individual. Berroltd is a 'Russet Spotted Imp'. They are the largest species of Imp currently known in-game.

It's a more emotional story, showing us Ben's past experiences Intertwined with daredevil's being the reason he wants to tell this kid's story. It's a more personal story and the artwork by David Mack, added with Bendis on a more grounded story made this a solid 10/10 for me
