I think a reason I'm not as bothered by Modern Sonic's character as other Sonic fans is that I'm also a R&C fan and got to see Ratchet's character be torn to shreds

At least 2010s Sonic can still be recognized as Sonic, 2016 Ratchet is another dude entirely
