Awful tracings of BDSP screenshots I made. Because I hate the game but I do like the in-battle models...you know when they aren't chibi nightmares.

Yeah... I just colored them like most anime games because I wish BDSP had outlines and wasn't a terrible game.

Tracing comes from a completed drawing, not a sketch. As a result, there will often be:
1) Lack of line pressure
2) Shaky lines
If the quality of the art has a huge disparage, please be careful!

Digital sketch I did, it's a redraw of an old traced drawing I'm not happy about (I traced only once just couldn't get the pose, felt bad about tracing and private the drawing) I am no happy for what I did, so I thought about redrawing to see if I improved.

too many things are similar for this not to be traced.. the nose is exacrly the same, down to the shading, as is the ear. even the shadow across the forehead and the hair by the ear is similar. maybe instead of trying to deny tracing you should check ur outsourced artists..

its very good practice to save your art files *before* merging/deleting the layers you dont need as you progress through the piece, so now i can look at my work from sketch to finish. also dont worry about tracing for complex things like guns, we all need them

Yeah, there’s a definite difference in referencing and tracing. This is an exact copy, however people may think that’s okay because it’s not the same characters. :/ all the muscles and lines match the original piece.
