I feel like the effect quickly gets too strong. I often don't like Sharpen which might be why I turned it off, especially how it affects 3D interface elements (such as action prompts). And it kills AntiAliasing

I set it to 32% though and quite like the result. Less blur.

One final thing to note. The starkness of the shadows is defined by how far away the light source is or the point where the light is squeezing through is. Atmosphere also affects this, more particles in air, less defined shadows as the light scatters due to the particles.
