Hi I’m Mei and I do art! I’ve been drawing as long as I can remember and honestly sometimes I wonder if It was because of all of my family members that draw or if it’s just because scribbling on the walls was really appealing as a kid.

The exact time I started noticing SMT seems like the exact time the series ended up most appealing to me, so that worked out somehow.

I feel the same way, just add bad art direction. None of the characters are memorable, design wise, and at worst unappealing. For instance, I get that they were trying to give the main character heart-shaped hair, but the way it sits/moves looks so awkward.

As an artist who has influences in the Western superhero comics, I will say some definitely aren't as flashy as manga. Dynamic? Hell yeah, but I 100% could understand why it's not as appealing. However i'd say these comics' pros are kinda more so environments or even concepts tbh

Qrt with your OC’s first design vs now!

I don't really make a lot of major changes to my characters over time, though Mammon sure looks a lot more appealing after 2 years of constant futzing https://t.co/Ow3F7PG0vf

Appreciation since it makes me happy to know there are people who find my character appealing just like I do. 💖

If they think this....is hot, then whatever floats your boat. Albeit I have other ocs more visually appealing...but it'll just confuse me why they'd do things like that

phoenix with the stray little hair tuft is very appealing to me. he's cute when he's younger but something about a single stray strand makes me go *clutching pearls* My Word What A Dashing Man

so asked me how I would design his stunky character Mead if I were making her super appealing to my tastes, and I was immediately consumed with the urge to make a very unhinged version. A danger mead. I'm calling her Bochet

71. Archie Sonic - The Early Years (1993-1995)

It's not good, just being upfront. Between inconsistent joke quality, unappealing side characters, and also the plots just not being entertaining nor engaging, it's easy to see why most people don't talk about the earlier comics.

Yes it's incredibly stupid that a series called Yo-kai Watch decided to ditch the idea of Yo-kai and yeah the designs aren't that appealing at first but then you see that they made Komasan an astronaut and gave him a bazooka and now everything is saved
