i remember the story idea i had was like the usual sports anime kinda plot. and one of the main characters, Gunn, was one of the top ranked turf war players. and i made like a top ten with punny names. and the no 1 player was good at every weapon or something like that.
Burnishing involves layering and blending until no paper tooth shows through the coloured pencil layers. In my drawings below I used a light pencil (light brown for bear/White for model) to go over the other layers & blend out the pigments.

one year ago today @seaplus_spl was formed, a funky lil group of strangers who wanted to play in the NA opens. our first games were rough but we had a lot of fun! we have since grown from the experience and have become better players. but all good things must come to an end (1/2)

Wanted to practice some movement in my art.
Silly big Moraxes here got burned magically by a departed wizard and it's been a lot of pain but he doesn't really care since it looks cool.

Brief update: tomorrow’s Secret Sauce will be the endpoint of season 3. I’ll be taking a brief break from the show to let the Strive and Melty Blood metas shake out before I start interviewing those players. In the meantime, I’ll be trying out some new ideas.
Texture is a key part of my paintings, which I mainly achieve with a palette knife and oil paints (or heavy body acrylics), building and scraping back paint to leave marks behind and reveal hidden layers.

Going to attempt a Classic Sonic in the airburshed style. So far I've done a pencil sketch and flatted out all of the key areas with what's probably way too many layers.
Nearly done with this and it looks great so far. I tried a LOT of new stuff with this piece like colored lineart and filter layers. The skirt looks soo amazing too!!

my clean up process takes quite some time after merging the layers... and most of the time people don't even get to see what it was before. You can hardly see the difference now either haha
