1. I do prefer traditional art over digital, I started with it and like the control I have over it and I think it complements my style. I have been making the move over to digital, hoping that I can emulate it as closely as possible, with mixed results.

Shinkawa seems to have this habit of using duplicated and resized lineart as this subtle additional shading or background. Sometimes it is so subtle that you can't even really tell.
It's a thing I try to emulate in my art, but with varying results.
