I think my are sort of split between mechanical and natural. I have 2 mechanical styles where I like to either play with lighting or details and my natural styles play with either lighting or textures.

"The Maiden's Chimera"

I recently discovered a new way of drawing which is to start with random blobs and then gradually give it form and textures. It is all done in one layer. Very useful and quite fun! It's like drawing a complex piece with half your brain shut off.
