#EveryFamicomGame 65: #CityConnection
I knew I had to do this game some justice. I threw on some #FutureFunk, zoomed into the car on that box art, and drew this Japanese car to the best of my ability.
I only watch one anime(MHA), but 80's #anime is one of the best art styles.
#EveryFamicomGame 64: #Pooyan
Couldn't help but think of the meme. I feel bad for the cats, but they are attacking in a pretty dumb way.
AAAA
I was finally able to play Valkyrie no bōken: toki no kagi densetsu on my 3DS after trying to find a download for it for so long! It's a 3DS port of a PSX remake of the Famicom game that had a Japan only limited release for Project X Zone.
#EveryFamicomGame 63: #SuperMarioBros
He was so lively in his youth. I can still hear his wa-hoos.
#EveryFamicomGame 62: #BattleCity
Normally I go out of the way to draw something in the game rather than copying the box art, but this was a hard image to ignore. It looks like a mascot for classic American junk food. Maybe it's the drunk father of #CrackerJack.
#EveryFamicomGame 61: #10YardFight
In my personal opinion, a much more fitting name for #football.
Welcome to the Famicom, IREM. I wasn't aware this wasn't developed by Nintendo due to being a black box game.
#EveryFamicomGame 60: #Geimos
I like the space shooters cuz' outer space is pretty easy and fun to illustrate.
Also, I printed out the table listing all the games. This is the last item on page 1! ...of 28.
#EveryFamicomGame 59: #RobotGyro / #Gyromite
I actually beat this game using #RobtheRobot once. By "beat" I mean I got to the part where the levels apparently loop back around. Very anticlimactic.
Also these gyros taste terrible.
I've always loved this Link and Zelda by Haruhiko Mikimoto from the Famicom review of Legend of Zelda in the 6/1986 issue of Newtype. It's only thanks to this amazing account that this art is online: https://t.co/d9OsgrEgOT #zelda flickr gallery here: https://t.co/xieDairh7D
#EveryFamicomGame 58: Honshogi: Naitou Kudan Shogi Hiden
Basically it's "How to play #Shogi"
This is SETA's Famicom debut, and they only have 7 games on it according to my list.
#EveryFamicomGame 57: #AstroRoboSasa
ASCII makes their Famicom debut with Rocket-Jumping: The Video Game. No really, the whole point is to move by firing a weapon.
#TeamFortress2 jump maps but it's 1985 in Japan and moon gravity is on.
#EveryFamicomGame 56: #TheTowerofDruaga
An inspiration for medieval video game rpgs, got a long franchise and an anime, and made by the developer of Xevious: Masanobu Endo. I didn't know what this was going into it, but this game was BIG.
#EveryFamicomGame 55: #FrontLine
Are you confused by the art? So am I. After watching some gameplay and a review, I had to double-check to make sure this wasn't a bootleg.
Speaking of the art, where's my #Newgrounds people at?
#EveryFamicomGame 54: #RobotBlock / #StackUp
#RobTheRobot has arrived. I use to play him a lot in #SmashBrosUltimate with a friend but when he moved I haven't been able to play it. I don't have a Switch.
Retrogaming Memory! ❤
Title: Batman: Return of the Joker
Publisher: Sunsoft
Version: NES/Famicom
Year: 1991
#EveryFamicomGame 53: #SuperArabian
Just my luck, there was ONE other game with Arabian in the title and I mixed them up in google images. Game number three-hundred twenty something is done I guess.
Anyways this is #Sunsoft's first Famicom game.
#EveryFamicomGame 52: #DoorDoor
The first game on the Famicom by Enix, a company that would eventually merge into @SquareEnix. I liked the box art on this one. It was paper cutouts of the characters.
#EveryFamicomGame 51: #Warpman
This has "My First Video Game" written all over it. Want to get into game development through a class in high school or YouTube tutorials? You're probably gonna make something like this pretty early on.
#EveryFamicomGame 50: #RoadFighter
I'm glad I got to draw my favorite fast car. I don't care too much for speed, but this #Corvette is the absolute king of body shapes.
Also I find it amusing that 1969 had most of the best cars in general.
