Did a quick comparison. I drew Porygon-Z on left using traditional media, and on the right in Pokemon art academy. Despite the outline work in the left one it was nice having more options. I might go digital alongside traditional.

A random idea for edge highlights just popped into my head today. Basically, it works: I have an outline and a holdout shader connected to it. Then, in post, I can just add the highlights, which should work... HOPEFULLY.

Still a WIP. I'll see how it goes and update you guys.

relatively, not a ton of progress. line to one sleeve, creases on spats, top eyelash and eyelid, one eye. might get rid of the outline on the eyelash and make the iris two or three parts. still need the hands, mouth parts, lower eyelid, sclera, feet, and general refinement

I'm alive yes yes very cool, uhh moving out to uni soon so more art, have a very high red panda with piercings, experimented a lot with outline colours and texturing.

We haven't even touched on the effects of AI restoration as a whole; removing the grain from the original episodes, and leaving bleeding in the outlines (which sometimes look almost brown as opposed to the intended black).
