I also started a Pinterest board for research. Everything from body type references (in this case pole vaulters & Sprinters) to ancient weapons and armor. Even hair styles. I try to leave nothing to chance.

cc Here is the first minicomic I made in 1992 or thereabouts (age: 19). It was drawn on an Amiga computer using a mouse. Less than 10 copies exist because it took ~12 hours to print 20 pages in color on an Okidata printer from the 80s.

Some of my favorite memories back in high school were reading the . And then attempting to draw the characters too on printer paper. It’s a shame we’ll never see characters like Hershey OR Julie-Su Because of that… you know
