Saw talks about a post floating around saying 16-17 year olds should “quit” if their art isn’t good. My work looked like this when I was 16-17, it is NEVER too late to work on your craft and improve!
School is coming culture war and christofascist have had summer to stew on how they can ruin public school and get more teachers to quit. The next story will be Teachers leaving … https://t.co/E8o1CxRMBI
@m0sstrx 2 older pieces from 2013, and then newer ones from 2015,and from 2022. I posted my art on oekaki boards and gaiaonline and my god was I torn to shreds for my bad anatomy/struggles with digital art. I still have a long way to go, but it's a miracle I didn't quit art completely
I’ve been seeing a lot of “If you’re not good at art by 16, quit” rhetoric going around, and I’m just here to casually remind y’all that the first was done when I was 14.
Practice takes time!! You’re not “behind” because of your age!! Improvement takes YEARS and that’s okay!!
@eunivrze This was my art at 17 vs my art now. If people had bullied me for my art then, I probably would of quit. Art isn’t god given, it’s learned. Be nice to beginning artists.
@Random_Blorper 16 year old artist who does furry art, D&D characters, and everything in between. If I had quit art years ago when everyone told me my art was “bad”, I wouldn’t be where I am now.

Cue my long rant...🙃
No. Just...no. Telling someone to quit art just bec you think they're "bad at it"and its too late for them to be better?
Once upon a time,I considered myself absolutely horrible at art and at cake-making - which eventually became my career. https://t.co/TEQRBMM3XE
Fuck this tweet! keep drawing and getting better.
never let yourself quit what you enjoy doing.
My 10month progress: https://t.co/GmjhivIeQZ
It absolutely disgusts me people are trying to say if you’re said age and not “good” at art you should quit. NEVER QUIT. Age has NOTHING to do w/ skill. The person trying to put that toxic idea into peoples heads has NO idea wtf they’re talking about.
My art when I was 16-17⬇️ https://t.co/C1wFKKmteR
My art at 16 vs at 32:
Like OP said, not being a genius at 16 / 17 does not mean "art is not for you" and telling people to quit is really toxic.
Stay resilient, art peeps. 💕 https://t.co/wR4LmvGpe7
Parliamentary forces under Coote had besieged the fort for 6 weeks, using cannon and mortars to batter the position and a opened a siege mine from the eastern counterscarp, however after the failed assault, O'Neill & garrison forced to quit the fort but with full honours of war
My brain is telling me to quit! But I wanna improve. T^T why is this hard! This is why I hate rendering
🧵: I saw a take about how "If your art is at a beginner level and you're not a child, you should quit". "Ratio-ing" is going to give this person more of that sweet attention they want, so I'll just tweet an example of my art from just this January vs my most recent piece
People like you make artists quit. Art takes time and practice. I should know, I started drawing during that age.
For artists, never give up. Keep improving your art, enjoy what you love. https://t.co/EQRROwbV6w
On the left is an artwork I made when I was around 16-17 and on the right is an artwork that I made 3 months ago. NEVER let your current skill level be the reason you quit something. If you really like doing something and want to get better at it, you will. 🧡 https://t.co/kLxIfi4RGZ
@Random_Blorper My "3rd grade level" digital art at 16-17 vs now. Don't quit
RTs+boosts would be more than appreciated ty!!!
I just quit my current job and I won’t get any sorts of income for the next month and I still have bills to pay
