Bugs are a great source of inspiration as they look like machines covered in an armour of chitin that was inflated a bit to give the edges a beveled or smoothed finish. All parts fit perfectly and allow these walking fortresses a certain amount of mobile freedom.

It came out looking a lot more blotchy (particularly the skin) than it does in reality. My scanner seems to do that. So I smoothed over some areas with a wet brush. Here is the result.

I finally found a screencap to compare my personal translation to the aksys one. There's no specific grammatical or typo error in theirs, but sometimes you need an editor to "rephrase" dialogue to just make it read smoother for native speakers.
