@anniemae04 Great.... "The Neglectful Father" trope, it's not that arc hasn't been done in better shows... and treated better handling. I know some these examples are kinda shotty, but they're not great fathers, but they still loved their kids.

One of my favorite anime is Rising of shield hero! Aside from being a heavy influence in my stories, I love that it shows that men are emotional beings who’s mental health shouldn’t be neglected either. If you haven’t seen it I very much recommend this isekai fantasy masterpiece
