I recently rewatched both of the movies... they're still hype, but man the pacing and story is very weak. Regardless of his weak spots, Broly is still a friken dope character in terms of design.

I drafted how the level would be laid out and navigated to better understand how to implement it with Maya and Unreal. The goal was to tell the story while pacing it properly. Using bends in the paths and occlusion helped with that.

We can compare Merian’s print to the floral embroidery on this c.1700 stomacher - thanks to my for finding this gorgeous example. I love how the spacing (maybe?) mimics the spacing on the page of Merian’s print.

Book 107: Slayers Vol. 1

It feels so good to read Slayers again! I forgot that the Rezo story arc was way shorter in the LN than the anime. The pacing here is admittedly a little fast, but the story is still solid and Lina's narration is fantastic!
