I've added color and I think I like the combination so far, but I may need to get in there and make their caudal and dorsal fins a bit bigger. I might have gotten too carried away with simplifying them and making them smaller, whoops 😅

So here's a behind the scene glimpse of my anatomy study for the last Beidou piece. Even though I didn't use the detailed render version, it was great practice for me to understand the 3D shapes of the muscles. Simplify everything, that's my life motto now 🙌

I made the mistake of trying to shade him
I might actually go back and make some edits to the base design to simplify shading while keeping the same colors and vibe.

the trick to lighting is faking everything and I find it so much easier to manage with hard edges vs. painting somehow, maybe bc it forces me to simplify?

this was just me wanting to see the link's awakening link in the royal guard outfit :)
i tried to simplify it down to keep with the LA remake's simplistic art style. and i altered the hyrule crest to match that of how it appears on the shield in the remake
