Adaman and Irida on the other hand are definitely not anybody’s ancestors. Unless they’re the ancestors of some really obscure characters I don’t know about. Otherwise, they don’t look like anybody.

Okay so, Adaman is clearly named after the Adamant Orb, since he's the leader of the Diamond Clan.
...Where does Irida's name come from then? Palkia's orb is the Lustrous Orb, not the Iridescent Orb or something.
