Over the weekend my bf’s Tia asked about my health (I’ve been sick since mid-October) then she said “I’ve been sick, too. My car broke down last month. I’ve been stuck at home and have fallen into a depression” — really appreciated her normalizing depression small talk! 🌸
I think back to a lot of people invalidating that depression can lead to self harm, thoughts and self sabotage. I used to think "Who would even care" a lot. My depression has always been there and it's something I fought a lot. Not that it's ever shown in my art or anything.

Just re-read the "Christmas Seasonal Depression" mini-arc. I wrote the first two comics and feel a bit weird re-reading them. I think when I pitched the idea to Josef, my antidepressants weren't working well and I was feeling just sad and nostalgic. I hope this suits the story.
