Mfers hating on Aoko's design for looking boring and plain even for Melty Blood and using her as an example for the game's "bad" character design for just jeans and a white tee. Ironically that made me MORE interested in her.
Turns out, in lore, that design choice was the POINT.
@Exceleena on a serious note, the more 'creative' outlets were seen and carried on by doujinsoft scenes during the so-called 'dark ages', and then games like arcana heart and melty blood paved the way to bring this burgeoning variety out of japan-only pc slums and into actual arcades again
