Freedom

Tuesday, July 14 2020. I felt free by speeding over hot pavement to the backdrop of the setting sun. The ground below me disappeared, the air slapped me, and I felt as though I was separate from all that was bad. There had just been me, the board, and the pretty scenery.

I finally got a chance to do the sketch for this image live during the 9hr+ livestream a couple weeks ago. Set against an ominous and spooky backdrop, the mysterious alicorn Rev remains cautious in an uncertain world. A gift for 🙂Thanks for your patience~

As you may know, Mr Gabriel Marques designed/drew Marina’s tour posters for the NNT and did some of the Neon Nature Tour backdrops! He has just posted one poster that he did that didn’t make the cut! It’s stunning 🌿💓

Next is Small Stage, a wonderful collaborative piece by artist Luca Shaw & musician Nishla Smith. The piece explores how our lives became smaller during lockdown & the focus on things that provided backdrop to our days & nights https://t.co/e8TWbkwbTl

Also sunflowers.
To be precise about beauty, I love the stereotypical image of a girl (usually wearing whites) in a field of sunflower. It's such a lovely set piece that oftens pop out in my mind.
(It's also a backdrop for one of personal favorite story of mine, pic related)

The innocence of nature remains an eternal subject to be captured by art, but the impression of the untouched environment can often serve for alternative intentions.

Also, since it's a bit difficult to tell in the GIF (whose the genius who decided to put a predominantly black outfit against a black backdrop?), here's some 3dsMax screenshot of Lulu's Sorceress outfit. Made the cloak semi-transparent so you can see what it hides.
