I always found the "opponent height" meter on the side of the screen in Vs. Tetris confusing. My intuition was that this was the number of garbage blocks waiting to pile onto my screen. It felt like I should want to keep the meter LOW, not high. Not sure how to fix... ideas?

So, as a kid, I always assumed Super Sonic from Fleetway’s Sonic the Comic was actually called Fleetway Sonic (either as the official name or a fan name).

I still call him Fleetway Sonic, both to avoid confusing him with OG Super Sonic, and because I think it sounds cool.
